Welcome to my blog

I am a Reiki Master and Massage Therapist working in the Cotswolds.  I also live on an Organic Farm and am interested in how we can improve our health in what we put in our bodies, what we put on our bodies and how to maximise our immune systems to stay healthy.  I have two teenage children about to fly the nest and a young fledgeling so have to do a fair bit of juggling!

Recent events have made me think carefully about how much I do for my family, my community and for others. As a busy mother of three and a farmer’s wife I find my day filled with ferrying and managing and washing and feeding with the odd moment of time to myself which is inevitably interrupted by notions of unease that I haven’t tackled the ironing pile yet. But the blogs and reports I have read recently about the people living in the ‘jungle’ settlement, or vast refugee settlements in Jordan, or trying to make their way to safer countries across the seas and across borders have highlighted what it is like to live with nothing and hope for better. Amongst them are individual volunteers trying to help as well as organisations such as Medecins sans Frontières and collection points such as Swindon-Calais Solidarity to help provide basic items for them.

So on a local level I have teamed up with Holly Blue Holistics (www.hollyblueholistics.com), a young charity founded by Mel Bliss and David Lewis working to bring holistic therapies free of charge to people in Gloucestershire who would not otherwise be able to afford to access them. Each user is assessed and put in touch with an appropriate therapist who offers an agreed amount of time for no fee. A pay it forward idea that really excites me and with Reiki being such a positive energy that benefits people on so many levels, whether physically, emotionally or spiritually I really hope that I can show that it is not ‘just a job’ but reaching and helping all those that need it.

Sally Peachey offers relaxing treatments in Reiki, Massage and Indian Head Massage at Fairford Therapy Centre, Cirencester Hypnotherapy and Health Centre and at client’s homes as required.

See me at the Total Health and Spirit Fayre at Cirencester Town Football Club on Sunday 22nd November 10am-4pm. A wide range of therapies and businesses will be there as well as fascinating workshops and talks.
